Accutron Spaceview repair and restoration is our SPECIALTY, including case re-plating services and case repair.  We professionally handle all types of restoration projects, with over 65 (combined) years of experience!

Bulova recommends Old Father Time as the ONLY facility for repair of their vintage watches.   We're proud of that relationship and we encourage you to contact Bulova if you have any questions regarding our services.  Vintage Accutrons have been a favorite in our shop since 1995 and we repair approximately 1,000 Accutrons each year.  Here are a few of our Accutron Repair Customer Comments.

  We employ a full staff of watchmakers and jewelers, each of whom is a highly skilled and Certified or Master watchmaking professional.   All have received specific Accutron repair training from a Bulova Corp. watchmaking instructor.  In addition, it's mandated that each of our watchmakers attend continuing education classes either at AWCI or WOSTEP in Switzerland.  This is essential in staying abreast of new technologies and advances in the field.

Unlike many Accutron internet hobby repairers, as a full service, professional repair center, case restoration services, plating and many other jewelry repair services are available at a flat fee.  We don't add additional charges for every component of a case.  Ultrasonic cleaning and polishing are a part of every repair we perform.  Additional cosmetic applications can be added, such a restoring the original sand markings on all case backs, case bevels and bezels.  By the time you add the cost of backs, crowns, battery compartment covers, pushers, bezels, etc., internet hobby repairers would have you paying approximately double the cost over our all-inclusive "case restoration".

Spaceview Packing & Shipping
Pack your watch in a box that's approximately 10" X 7" X 4" in size, (similar to a shoe box) or one large enough not to be lost by the carrier.  We recommend wrapping the item in bubble-wrap, and then packing in styrofoam peanuts or void air bags. 
You may ship by USPS Registered Mail, Insured.  FedEx, UPS & Airborne limit insurance to $500 for jewelry items. 
*Make no reference to the contents on the outside of the package.  Our address label, at the bottom of the Handy Repair Form, may be used for Registered Mail only.  Shortly after your package arrives, we'll notify you with a detailed estimate for repair.  We'll then wait for your approval before proceeding. 

Package carefully, but Use only packing that can be discarded. 
 

Repair Estimates
We have a $65 Estimate Fee which includes diagnosis of needed repairs, detailed written estimate, and return shipping and insurance by Federal Express if repairs are declined.  If, after obtaining your approval, we perform the repair we've recommended, the Estimate is FREE.

As the largest Accutron and Accutron Spaceview repair facility in the U.S., turnaround time can vary depending on a number of factors including complexity, parts availability, and the number of repairs currently in progress.
